How We Got Started
It all started on a whim. Jen had this lovely dream of having fields of flowers to walk through. After decades of landscaping and creating gardens at their suburban homes, Chris and Jen continued to add more and more plants, shrubs and trees to Spring Valley Farm. One day, they decided to plant vegetables and flower seeds in the field. It wasn’t easy, but through trial and error, they learned what grew best in their farm fields, especially flowers. A specialty being the beloved sunflowers.
Our Mission
Spring Valley Farm started with a desire to give back to others. Over the last few years, we’ve given countless pounds of produce, eggs and beef, to local families and organizations, to provide fresh, local and healthy diet options. Our ambition is to continue on this path and share our farm with others.Â
Our vision is to create a sustainable farm to pave our family’s legacy. One that doesn’t follow the traditional path taken before. One that cares for the animals that provide us food. Putting thought into how we grow our flowers and produce. And reminding ourselves, every day, the importance of service to family, friends, neighbors, and community.
